Adopt-a-creature! Everyone loves an animal adoption, so for those who are difficult to buy for, why not make a charitable donation in their name and adopt a Shark/Turtle/Whale. There are several companies out there but my favorite is AdoptaShark.com the money raised from these adoptions go towards tagging sharks, aiding scientific research. You can also track your tagged shark as it roams our earths oceans!

Meet Calvin the Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus), a juvenile male just 18 feet long, a baby really. Since being tagged in 2009 he has traveled the coast of Mexico!
